Drexel Dragons Betting Preview
Drexel managed a couple of sizable wins to kick off their season. The Dragons dispatched Georgian Court 95-43 in their opener, then demolished Colgate 73-56 in game two. Drexel took their first loss versus Temple in a 69-61 affair.
Another loss was in the cards for the Dragons on Saturday versus La Salle. Drexel was behind by 12 points going into the second half and fought back from there but fell 71-68. Jason Drake led the way with 18 points and four rebounds.
Fairfield Stags Betting Preview
Over on the Fairfield side, they started out the season with two double-digit losses. First was a 96-58 defeat by Rhode Island, then came a 69-57 result in a road matchup versus Georgetown. The Stags got their first win 62-56 against New Hampshire, though.
Matched up against John Jay back on Friday, the Stags jumped out to a dominant 51-29 edge by the break. Fairfield hit a 42-15 run from there for a 93-44 win. Prophet Johnson topped the team on a double-double with 25 points and 13 boards. Fairfield will meet Yale, Vermont, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Rider after this one.

I’ll probably try Drexel here. You could obviously make a good case either way, though. The Dragons are coming off a bad first half against a La Salle team that’s been pretty solid so far. Drexel eventually shot 45.3 percent from the field with 37 rebounds but also hit an ugly 31.6 percent (4-of-11) from the line.
As for Fairfield, they’re coming off a nice win versus an overmatched John Jay. That said, the Stags have been below 63 points in three of four games so far. I’m not sure they’ve got the firepower to keep a steady cover/win pace on Drexel if the Dragons are playing reasonably well.
