Cal State Northridge vs UC Irvine Prediction
I’ll lean toward UC Irvine but you could call this one either way. The Anteaters hit 44 percent from the field and 56 percent (10-of-18) from 3-point range in their latest win over UC Riverside but did lose the rebounding battle 41-38 and were outscored 26-22 in the paint. Still, that makes three straight wins for UC Irvine, and they’ve got a combined 145 points in their last pair of games.
As for Cal State Northridge, they were able to pull their record back to .500 on the year with a win over Cal State Bakersfield in their last outing. The Matadors shot a nice 53 percent from the field with 40 rebounds in that one, but did cough up 13 turnovers and went just 13-of-25 (52 percent) from the line. CSUN had scored a combined 114 points in the previous two games, so the 87 points were a welcome sight. We’ll see if the Matadors can keep it going on Saturday.
