The Chargers shot 44.2% from the field, 21.4% on three pointers, and 42.9% on free throws in the game. New Haven was out rebounded by a total of 40-25, recorded just three assists, and committed 11 turnovers in the loss. Andre Pasha led the Chargers with 17 points and six rebounds, while Najimi George added 14 points and four rebounds in the game. 

New Haven played decently well in their first game of the season against UConn, but they have to shoot much better from three point territory. The Chargers did allow UConn to shoot 48.2% from the field, they allowed 20 free throw attempts, and they only managed one fast break point in the loss.

New Haven comes into this matchup looking to build some momentum after a decent game against UConn, and they will be at home. The Chargers did find success in the paint in that opening game, which should give them some confidence. Columbia hasn’t played a game yet, but they are returning a bunch of production from last year and should be very strong to start the season.
