As for Central Michigan, they had a sketchy second half against Kent State in their last outing but managed to hang on for the win. The Chippewas shot 45.7 percent from the field in that one but also got outmuscled on the boards 47-39 along the way. Central Michigan had lost five straight games prior to that, finishing below 70 points in three of those.
