Bradley Braves Betting Preview
The Braves lost to Washington State in their second game of the season, then hit a nice win streak. Those victories came courtesy of UTSA, Northern Illinois, Texas State, Wright State, Middle Tennessee, Judson U, and Southern Illinois. Following another loss to Santa Clara, Bradley began another win streak versus San Francisco, Canisius, and Valparaiso in succession over the next three games.
In their Sunday game versus Valparaiso, Bradley had a tough battle. The Braves were up by six points at the break but gave away the lead in a 33-27 second half. After two overtime periods, Bradley eventually emerged victorious 81-75. Topping the team in scoring was Darius Hannah with 21 points and three rebounds, while Duke Deen added 20 points, five boards, and four steals. Zek Montgomery notched 19 points with three rebounds as well.
Deen leads the Braves in scoring so far this year, posting 15.2 points per game. Montgomery is second with 13.5 points per game, and Hannah has 12.7 points per game.
Indiana State Sycamores Betting Preview
Over on the Indiana State side, they limped to a 3-4 stretch over their first seven outings. The Sycamores beat Eureka, Ball State, and Chicago State in that time with losses otherwise versus Florida Atlantic, SIU Edwardsville, Southern Indiana, and Arkansas State. Following five straight wins over Iona, Tarleton State, Missouri State, Murray State, and University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy, the Sycamores took a loss to Ohio State.
In the matchup with the Buckeyes on Sunday, Indiana State came into the second half sporting a 52-47 deficit. The Sycamores didn’t get any closer in a 103-83 loss following a 51-36 run the rest of the way. Jaden Daughtry came off the bench to lead the team in scoring 25 points and five rebounds. Samage Teel added 19 points with five assists, while Camp Wagner finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
Teel owns the scoring lead for the Sycamores so far. He’s quite a ways in front, sporting 17.6 points per game alongside 4.5 rebounds per game and 4.4 assists per game.

Bradley vs Indiana State Prediction
I’ll take a stab at Bradley here. We should have a pretty fun matchup in store all the same, though. The Braves didn’t shoot great in their double-overtime win versus Valparaiso, notching 40 percent from the field and 28 percent (7-of-25) from outside. The 47-40 rebounding deficit didn’t help matters. That said, Bradley was great defensively overall, holding the Beacons to just 34.4 percent shooting from the floor. That makes 74 or more points in all but one game this year (66 in a win over San Francisco).
As for Indiana State, they posted a decent shooting against a pretty good Ohio State team but didn’t look like they were playing any defense. The Sycamores gave up 55.7 percent shooting to the Buckeyes, who scored 19 points on 19 Indiana State turnovers. Still, it’s been a great year for the Sycamores in scoring. They’ve hit 72 or more points in all but one game so far (64 versus FAU in the opener loss). Wednesday’s matchup should be a good one, and we’ll get a hefty total if both teams score to their capabilities. In the end, I like Bradley to eke out the road cover, but you could certainly make a case for the Sycamores as well.
