The Norse beat Cincinnati Clermont in their opener then fell versus Tennessee and East Tennessee State. Since then it’s been four straight wins for Northern Kentucky, however. They’ve beaten Cumberland KY, Central Michigan, Eastern Kentucky and Wofford in that stretch, giving the team a 5-2 run overall.

Matched up against Wofford on Wednesday the Norse came out of the break with a 45-43 edge. Northern Kentucky hit a 48-40 run the rest of the way and took the eventual win 93-83. Tops in scoring was Donovan Oday with 27 points and five rebounds. Dan Gherezgher notched 21 points and four boards while LJ Wells chipped in 18 points with eight rebounds and two assists.

In each of their four wins during this current streak, the Norse have scored 82 or more points.

As for Boston U, they couldn’t catch Penn State in their latest loss, giving up 57.7 percent shooting to the Nittany Lions. The Terriers didn’t play terribly otherwise outside of a 38-26 deficit on points in the paint. That gives Boston U a combined 162 points in their last two games, but they’re also giving up a lot on the other side.
