Toledo Rockets Betting Preview

Over on the Toledo side, they opened the year on a shaky run but they’ve since been able to steady the proverbial ship. The Rockets fell versus South Alabama in a close game during their opener, then fell to Marshall in game two. Since then it’s been a four-game win streak though, as Toledo has taken out Wright State, Detroit, Youngstown State and Troy in succession. That gives the Rockets a 4-2 overall run through their first half-dozen games of the 2025-26 season.

In the Monday matchup versus Troy, the Rockets came out of halftime looking up at a 36-30 deficit. Toledo got it going from there on a 45-32 run however, and ended up taking the comeback win 75-68. Tops in scoring during the winning effort was Sonny Wilson with 21 points and four rebounds. Kyler Vanderjagt added 17 points with four rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes, and Leroy Blyden had 12 points with three assists and two boards.

Belmont vs Toledo Prediction

I’m just going to stay with Belmont. The Bruins are looking good through a half-dozen games so far and coming off a blowout win versus a struggling St. Francis PA team. Belmont hit a smooth 58.6 percent from the field in that one with 50 percent (15-of-30) from outside and a 30-25 rebounding edge. The Bruins added 26 team assists and 38 points in the paint to the 24 from the Red Flash. That makes 75 or more points in all six games so far for the Bruins. If they can keep that run going, Belmont will be in great shape here.

As for Toledo, they started slowly against Troy and got beaten up front on a 34-30 rebounding deficit and a 42-36 disadvantage in the paint. The Rockets shot well though (45.9 percent) and kept the Trojans from hitting much at 3-point range (5-of-28 for 17.9 percent). Toledo is scoring well themselves this year with 73 or more points in every game. We should have a pretty high total in this one.
