Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview
Ole Miss started their season on a nice run, but they’ve been pretty shaky since mid-January record-wise. The Rebels lost to only Purdue and Memphis in their first 17 outings, then hit a losing streak versus Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Missouri. Ole Miss was able to win four of the next five games versus Texas, Kentucky, LSU, and South Carolina, then lost to Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Auburn. Since then it’s been consecutive wins over Oklahoma and Tennessee for the Rebels. That brings their season record to 21-9 overall across the first 30 games of the 2024-25 campaign.Â
In the Tennessee matchup on Wednesday, the Rebels faced a five-point deficit at the break. Ole Miss surged on a 42-35 run from there, however, ultimately bagging the win 78-76 in comeback fashion. Topping the scorers in the victory was Jaemyn Brakefield, who came off the bench for 19 points, two rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes of work. Dre Davis posted a double-double on 13 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Malik Dia had 13 points with five rebounds in 16 minutes on the floor.Â
Florida Gators Betting Preview
Over on the Gators’ side, they’ve been doing great this year with only a handful of isolated losses in the books. Florida won their first 13 straight outings, then fell to Kentucky and Missouri around wins over Tennessee and Arkansas in the next four. The Gators would then beat Texas, South Carolina, and Georgia before a loss to Tennessee. Since then it’s been a lone loss to Georgia amid wins over Vanderbilt, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Oklahoma, LSU, Texas A&M, and Alabama. In total that gives the Gators a 26-4 run through 30 games so far this season.Â
In the Alabama matchup on Wednesday, the Gators entered the second half with a 41-40 edge. Florida kept it up in the second half with a 58-54 run and took the win in the end 99-94. Alex Condon was the team’s leading scorer with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks in 30 minutes. Walter Clayton added 22 points with eight assists and five rebounds, while Rueben Chinyelu nearly doubled up himself with nine points, 11 boards, and two steals in 20 minutes.Â

Ole Miss vs Florida PredictionÂ
I’ll try Ole Miss in this one. We should have a pretty good matchup regardless, though. The Rebels took out a good Tennessee team in a home victory during their last appearance, shooting 45.6 percent from the field with 37 rebounds and just five turnovers along the way. Ole Miss has recovered well on consecutive wins after that three-game losing streak, scoring a combined 165 points in the two victories.Â
As for Florida, they notched a nice road win over a solid Alabama squad this week, hitting 48.6 percent from the field with a 50-35 rebounding edge. The Gators are on a scoring tear during this 8-1 run, hitting 79 or more points in all nine games. It’s going to take a big offensive effort in order for Ole Miss to stay in range on Saturday, but I think the Rebels are capable of it.Â
