Liberty Has Confidence

Liberty has all kinds of confidence right now and they have won four straight games. Two games ago against New Mexico State, they won 64-54, and in the last game against UTEP, they were able to secure the 76-69. They were down at halftime, but in the second half, they scored 44 points on the way to the win. Taelon Peter had a strong game putting up 23 points and 10 rebounds. It was a balanced attack with three different players that put up at least 13 points.

The Flames sit with a 21-5 record overall, and at home this season, they have gone 7-2 straight up. Even with all the success, the first time they beat FIU by only three points, and they know they can’t overlook this game. Liberty overall is averaging 76.5 points while their defense is giving up 61.7 points per game. In the first game against FIU, they only scored 62 points, and in this game, the offense is going to need to be better. They can’t trust that 62 points will be enough to get the job done. Isaiah Ihnen is dealing with an injury and he’s out for the season.
