Bryant Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Bulldogs didn’t start off the year so well, but they’ve been much better since the calendar year changed. Bryant was just 6-9 by December 30, taking losses to Siena, Stonehill, St. Bonaventure, Chattanooga, Brown, St. John’s, Fordham, Towson, and Grand Canyon in that time. A win streak began on January 4 however, as the Bulldogs dispatched Maine, Vermont, Albany, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, Binghamton, UMBC, and NJIT in succession. The result through the first 23 games was a 14-9 overall run for the Bulldogs.Â
In their Thursday game versus Albany, Bryant got off to an ugly start, hitting the locker room with a 41-28 deficit. The Bulldogs improved in the second half on a 35-27 stretch and made a run at it, but ended up losing 68-63 to stop their win streak. Connor Withers led the team in the losing effort with 17 points, five assists, and four blocks. Earl Timberlake added 13 points with six rebounds and five blocks, while Jakai Robinson had 10 points with seven boards off the bench.Â
Binghamton Bearcats Betting Preview
Over on the Binghamton side, they’ve got one nice run in the books but have been pretty choppy otherwise this year. The Bearcats lost to Penn State, Miami, Fordham, Longwood, Central Connecticut, and Niagara in their first eight outings, then won seven of the next eight. Outside of a loss to Marist, those were victories over Long Island University, Le Moyne, Lancaster Bible College, Mercyhurst, Army, and UMBC. Losses to Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Albany, and Bryant came in the next five, then wins over Vermont and Albany to give the Bearcats an 11-12 record through their first 23 outings of the year.Â
Matched up against UMass Lowell in their Thursday outing, the Bearcats held a three-point edge going into the second half. Binghamton kept it up in the second on a 42-33 run and took the eventual win 66-54 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Tymu Chenery with 18 points and seven rebounds. Gavin Walsh hauled in 23 boards with seven points as well. Nehemiah Benson chipped in with 16 points, one assist, and five rebounds in 39 minutes of work on the floor during the victory.Â

Bryant vs Binghamton PredictionÂ
I’ll probably just stay with Bryant, but a bit of their luster has worn off following their latest defeat. On Thursday the Bulldogs had a lousy outing. Bryant hit just 37.1 percent from the field and 11-of-17 (64.7 percent) from the line alongside a 43-39 rebounding deficit. The real killer, however, was the 17 turnover for 16 Great Danes points. It was a pretty sloppy game on both sides, with 32 total turnovers. The 63 points were Bryant’s lowest total of the season so far.Â
These teams met up back on January 25 in an 83-69 home win for Bryant. In that one, the Bulldogs shot pretty well (45.5 percent) and had a 34-32 rebounding edge, but the real difference in the game was the 18 points off 12 Binghamton turnovers. Bryant can’t rely on the Bearcats making so many mistakes this time in the road rematch (and can’t make so many themselves), but I still think the Bulldogs will be in control.Â
