Georgetown vs. Marquette Prediction
I’m on the Hoyas and the points here. No doubt that Marquette’s one of the best teams in the country and deserves to be favored here at home. However, the Hoyas are no joke, and they’ve been impressive in spots early on this season. It usually takes a year for a new coach to implement his style and get his guys in, and I like what I’m seeing from Georgetown in year two under Ed Cooley. The Hoyas are going to be a sneaky team that we have to keep an eye out for this season. Marquette’s failed to cover in both of their games as a double-digit favorite this season and while Georgetown’s yet to really find themselves there with the 334th-ranked strength of schedule, I think that the Hoyas can give Marquette a bit of pushback here and find a way to sneak in the backdoor and get a cover in this one. Give me Georgetown and the points.
