I’m staying with Nicholls. This is a very winnable game for the Colonels, and a good opportunity to get back on track after a tough loss to Northwestern State. Nicholls didn’t shoot horribly in that defeat (42.9 percent) but also got blitzed on the boards 42-30 (17-10 offensive) and had 10 turnovers. The good news is that Nicholls has 71 or more points in four of the last five games and should score well here.

As for East Texas A&M, they shot a miserable 31.3 percent from the field with a 42-35 rebounding deficit and 16 turnovers for 25 McNeese points in their latest loss. The Lions have been below 69 points in three straight games, and they’ve given up a combined 163 in the last pair. If Nicholls can get going on offense early and set a quick pace, I don’t think East Texas A&M will be able to follow along for very long.
