Washington Huskies Betting Preview

Washington only has one blemish on the card so far: a 63-53 loss to Nevada in game two. Other than that it’s been wins over UC Davis, Seattle Pacific, UMass Lowell, Alcorn State, Colorado State and Santa Clara.

In the Santa Clara matchup, the Huskies held a 42-33 edge after one half. Washington closed on a 36-34 deficit but still won 76-69. Great Osobor was tops on 19 points with eight rebounds and five assists in 33 minutes of work.

UCLA managed to drill Southern Utah 43-20 in the first half of their last matchup. The Bruins kept it up in the second with a 45-23 run for an 88-43 blowout. Lazar Stefanovic came off the bench to lead the team on 19 points.

Washington vs UCLA Prediction

I was going to stay with UCLA here, but the line seems generous enough to try the Huskies. This should be a pretty fun matchup between a pair of one-loss teams, so you could certainly make a case either way. The Bruins are coming off a dismantling of Southern Utah, posting 47.5 percent shooting with 41 rebounds. UCLA scored a whopping 34 points off 30 Thunderbirds turnovers as well. The Bruins have scored great in their wins this year, with 80 or more points in five of six (71 in the outlier).

As for Washington, they shot 43.5 percent from the field with a 40-33 rebounding edge in a rather modest win over Santa Clara. The Huskies have scored well in their victories also, with 73 or more points in all six. This one’s shaping up to be a pretty high total, and in the end I like Washington to get in there on a road cover.
