The Braves managed to beat Southeast Missouri State 88-60 in a blowout opener game this year, but then fell 91-74 to Washington State in their next outing. Bradley would then take out UTSA 85-72 in game three to improve to 2-1.

Over on the Texas State side, they were able to open their year with a pair of wins. The Bobcats dispatched Eastern Michigan 64-44 in their opener, then toppled McMurry 102-62 in game two. The TCU matchup was a loss for Texas State 76-71, though.
The Bobcats took another loss on Saturday versus Abilene Christian. Texas State went into the second half with a 32-25 deficit and didn’t end up getting closer in a 72-60 finish. Josh O’Garro was the lead scorer on 23 points and 11 boards.

I’ll stay with Bradley. The Braves posted a nice win over NIU in their last outing, shooting a blistering 58.1 percent from the field with 50 percent (7-of-14) from 3-point range. Bradley also held a 32-24 rebounding edge but did cough up 16 turnovers. Bradley has scored 74 or more points in all four games so far this year, but they’ll have to watch the ball control here.
As for Texas State, they lost to a pretty decent Abilene Christian team in their last matchup. The Bobcats shot 40.5 percent from the field with 17 turnovers and got outmuscled on the boards 33-24. Texas State has been below 65 points in two of four games this season; if the Bobcats hit a scoring slump Thursday it’ll be hard to keep pace.
