Over on the Wisconsin side, they started out the year with a game versus Holy Cross. The Badgers didn’t have too many issues in that one in an 85-61 victory. Wisconsin posted another double-digit win over Montana State last Thursday, taking it 79-67.

In Sunday’s game versus Appalachian State, the Badgers kept their run going. Wisconsin was up by 16 points at halftime and cruised from there on 51 more points in an 87-56 blowout. Leading team scorers Steven Crowl and John Tonje (seven rebounds) each scored 17 points.

I’m going to stick with Wisconsin, but you could make a case either way. The Badgers made pretty short work of App State in their last game, shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 81.3 percent (13-of-16) from the line with a 43-36 rebounding edge and 17 team assists. Wisconsin turned 18 Mountaineers turnovers into 14 steals, so Arizona will really need to watch their ball control on Friday.

Speaking of Arizona, they posted 12 steals on 18 Old Dominion turnovers in their latest win. The Wildcats dominated the boards as well with a 59-28 advantage (24-9 offensive). Arizona will likely try to push the Badgers around up front as well. We’re in for a pretty physical game here and it should be interesting to watch. I’m leaning toward Badgers at home cover-wise, but it’s a coin flip in that regard.
