Belmont Bruins Betting Preview

Belmont was in trouble during their opener versus Maryville College last Monday, trailing 43-40 at the break. The Bruins stormed back with 53 points from there, however, and won the game 93-70. Isaiah Walker led the way with 19 points and five rebounds in the comeback.

Lipscomb got back into the win column on Saturday versus Wofford. The Bisons took a 38-32 edge into the second half, then scored 40 more points in a 78-69 win. Jacob Ognacevic put up 20 points with six rebounds along the way, and Joe Anderson added 19 points. Lipscomb will meet Western Kentucky and Kentucky following this game.

I’m going to take Lipscomb. This should be a fun matchup regardless, though. The Bisons posted a bounce-back effort versus Wofford in their last game, shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 83.3 percent (15-of-18) from the line. Lipscomb boasted a 35-31 rebounding edge and just six turnovers as well.

As for Belmont, they shot a nice 54.2 percent from the field but also got outmuscled on the boards 34-27 and missed half of their free throws (5-of-10). The Bruins need to stay in rhythm during the second half if they want to keep a cover pace here.
