In this article we will formulate a Roughriders vs Alouettes prediction for this CFL game on Monday, October 12th at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium in Montreal, Quebec. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this CFL matchup.

Saskatchewan Roughriders Betting Preview

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are 8-7 this season after they lost to the Stampeders by a score of 37-31 in their last game. Saskatchewan trailed 17-10 at halftime and 37-19 late in the fourth, but they did score 12 points in the final 1:07 to make it closer. The Roughriders out gained Calgary by a total of 470-326, went 12-21 on second downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-0 in the game. Harris threw for 453 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, while Schaffer-Baker caught nine passes for 120 yards and one score. Ouellette rushed eight times for 28 yards in the loss.

Prior to that game, Saskatchewan lost to the Lions by a score of 31-24 and the Blue Bombers by a score of 19-6, and they are currently third in the West Division. The Roughriders have scored 28.7 points per game with 324.9 passing yards and 88.6 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 27.2 points against per game this season. Trevor Harris has thrown for 4,874 yards with 29 touchdowns and 13 interceptions this season.

Montreal Alouettes Betting Preview

The Montreal Alouettes are 12-3 this year after they defeated the Blue Bombers by a score of 37-10 in their last game. Montreal led 24-10 at halftime and pitched a shutout in the second half in the lopsided win. The Alouettes out gained Winnipeg by a total of 548-182, went 19-27 on second downs, and tied the turnover battle at one in the game. Alexander threw for 440 yards and one touchdown, while Philpot caught 11 passes for 207 yards. Scott III rushed 14 times for 83 yards and one score in the win.

Prior to that game, Montreal defeated the Tiger-Cats by a score of 37-25, but lost to the Lions by a score of 48-29, and they are currently first in the East Division. The Alouettes have scored 35.7 points per game with 328.5 passing yards and 105.9 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 28.0 points against per game this season. Davis Alexander has thrown for 4,854 yards with 30 touchdowns and three interceptions this year.

Roughriders vs Alouettes Prediction

Saskatchewan comes into this matchup on a three game losing streak and they have allowed 68 points in their last two. The Roughriders have really struggled down the stretch, but Harris is a very good quarterback. Montreal is 12-3 so far this year and they have scored at least 29+ points in four straight games. The Alouettes have played better defense in their last two games, but they allowed 30+ in the three previous games. This should be a great contest and I think Saskatchewan can keep it close, so I will take the Roughriders and the points here.

David Racey's Pick: Roughriders +4.5
