In this article we will formulate an Argonauts vs Lions prediction for this CFL game on Saturday, July 25th at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this CFL matchup.

Toronto Argonauts Betting Preview

The Toronto Argonauts are 2-4 this season after they lost to the Tiger-Cats by a score of 24-23 last week. Toronto trailed 14-7 at halftime and 24-10 in the fourth quarter, but they cut the deficit to 24-23, before missing an extra point and field goal for the loss. The Argonauts out gained Hamilton by a total of 395-367, went 12-19 on second downs, and tied the turnover battle at one in the game. Chad Kelly threw for 322 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while Tyler Kahmann caught six passes for 104 yards. Samuel Hicks rushed seven times for 47 yards in the game.

Prior to that loss, Toronto lost to the Blue Bombers by a score of 30-21 and the Stampeders by a score of 58-36, and they are currently third in the East Division. The Argonauts have scored 32.3 points per game with 370.8 passing yards and 84.0 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 34.5 points against per game this season. Chad Kelly has thrown for 2,126 yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, while Kevin Mital has 29 catches for 448 yards and one score. Samuel Hicks has rushed 52 times for 314 yards and two touchdowns this season.

BC Lions Betting Preview

The BC Lions are 1-4 this year after they lost to the Elks by a score of 19-17 in week seven. BC trailed 16-7 at halftime and 19-7 in the fourth quarter, but they scored 10 points in the fourth and nearly made a great comeback. The Lions were out gained by a total of 286-213, went 6-19 on second downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 5-1 in the game. Chase Brice threw for 226 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions, while Keon Hatcher caught four passes for 81 yards and one score. Zander Horvath rushed four times for 11 yards and one score in the game.

Prior to that loss, BC defeated the Elks by a score of 36-24 and lost to the Stampeders by a score of 41-33, and they are currently last in the West Division. The Lions have scored 28.0 points per game with 347.4 passing yards and 77.4 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 31.2 points against per game this season. Chase Brice has thrown for 313 yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions, while Keon Hatcher has 22 receptions for 401 yards and one touchdown. James Butler has rushed 52 times for 256 yards and four scores this year.

Argonauts vs Lions Prediction

Toronto comes into this matchup on a three game losing streak and they lost to a Hamilton team that was playing a backup QB last week. The Argonauts have been brutal defensively this year and they have allowed 30+ points in three of their last four. BC is missing Rourke for this contest, so they will have a backup QB. The Lions have also played poor defense this year, as they have allowed 31+ points in four of their last five games. I think this is a great situation for Brice, as he should find more success this week. Take the over here.
