Air Force Falcons Betting Preview
It’s been a pretty tough year for the Falcons so far. Following a win over Bucknell in their opener, Air Force fell to Utah State, Boise State, Hawaii, Navy and UNLV in the next five games. A 2-1 stretch came next with a loss to Army in between wins over Wyoming and San Jose State, then the Falcons lost again to UConn on November 15. That would give Air Force a limp 3-7 record through the first 10 games of their season.
Last weekend versus New Mexico, the Falcons were trailing 17-0 by the end of the first half. Air Force could only muster a field goal from there in a 20-3 loss. Josh Johnson was 3-of-6 for 46 yards and a pick, while Kemper Hodges had 20 carries for 50 yards. Jonah Dawson logged two catches for 28 yards in the losing effort as well.
Colorado State Rams Betting Preview
Over on the Rams’ side, they had an even worse time through their first 10 games. Colorado State lost their opener to Washington ahead of a win over Northern Colorado. Three straight losses came next versus UTSA, Washington State and San Diego State, then another win over Fresno State. The Rams would hit the skids after that, falling to Hawaii, Wyoming, UNLV and New Mexico in their next four outings. That would give Colorado State a 2-8 run through their first 10 outings.
Matched up against Boise State last weekend, the Rams were tied coming out of the first quarter then gave up 20 unanswered points. Colorado State didn’t get any closer in a 49-21 loss in the end. QB Darius Curry posted a 26-of-46 line for 293 yards, two scores and three interceptions while also leading the rush on 23 yards from six totes. Rocky Beers had 94 yards with a TD on seven catches in the loss.

Air Force vs Colorado State Prediction
I’ll lean toward Colorado State. I’m probably staying away from this one, though; there’s not a lot to get excited about with both teams coming off sizable losses. In any case, the Rams posted 332 yards with 6-of-13 on third downs in the Boise State game while also notching just 17 first downs and four turnovers. Colorado State’s defense surrendered 533 yards, 279 rush yards, 6.1 yards per play and 32 first downs on the other side. That makes fewer than 22 points in five straight games (all losses) for the Rams.
As for Air Force, they notched just 161 total yards versus New Mexico with two turnovers, 14 first downs and 5-of-13 on third downs. The Falcons gave up 277 yards on the other side with 18 first downs and 7-of-12 on third downs. Air Force has just 19 combined points over their last two games; we’ll likely have a low total in this one.
