Navy Midshipmen Betting Preview
The Midshipmen won their first six games, taking out Bucknell, Temple, Memphis, UAB, Air Force, and Charlotte before a blowout loss to Notre Dame. It’s been a 1-2 run since then with losses to Rice and Tulane around a win versus USF.
In the Tulane game on November 16, the Midshipmen gave up points in every quarter during a shutout loss of 35-0. Braxton Woodson threw for just 13 yards and an interception. Alex Tecza topped an anemic rush on seven carries for 31 yards.
East Carolina Pirates Betting Preview
Over on the East Carolina side, they came out of the gate with wins over Norfolk State, Old Dominion, and UTSA in their first five. The Pirates hit another 3-2 run from there with wins over Temple, Florida Atlantic, and Tulsa after losses to Charlotte and Army.
On Saturday versus North Texas, the Pirates were down 21-7 by halftime. East Carolina scored 24 points in the third quarter, however, eventually winning 40-28. Katin Houser drove the offense on 298 yards, two scores, and a pick. Rahjai Harris carried 24 times for 128 yards and three scores to lead the rush.

Navy vs East Carolina Prediction
I’m going to take a stab at East Carolina, but you could argue it either way. The Pirates started out slowly in their last matchup versus North Texas, eventually posting 553 yards (255 rushing) and 26 first downs. ECU played a sloppy game though, with two turnovers and a whopping 13 penalties. That said, the Pirates have scored 38 or more points in four straight games—all victories. They’re on a roll.
As for Navy, the extra rest and prep should do them well following an absolute beatdown by a very good Tulane squad. Navy notched just 113 total yards (13 passing), 2.5 yards per play, eight first downs, two turnovers, and a 1-of-11 rate on third downs in that ugly game. The Midshipmen have been at 14 points or fewer in three of the last four games, so they’re going to have to manufacture some points here.
