I’ll probably just stay with Louisville. The Cardinals gave up 450 yards (222 rushing) and 31 first downs to Clemson in their last outing and held the ball for just 22:08 of game time but still won. The 210 Louisville rushing yards (366 total) certainly helped the cause. There’s plenty to clean up efficiency and control, but it was still a nice road win.
As for Stanford, they posted 398 total yards (225 rushing) with 7.2 yards per play in their loss to NC State but also had two turnovers and a rough 3-of-9 on third-down tries. Defensively the Cardinal gave up 527 yards (281 rushing) with 8.5 yards per play and 25 first downs. This weekend’s matchup isn’t going to get any easier.
