The running game is going to be no consistent or this is going to be a long game. The defense for Maryland finished with three interceptions, but they allowed Aidan Chiles to throw for 363 yards and three touchdowns. They also allowed Nick Marsh to catch eight passes for 194 yards. 

Virginia Pulled Out a Close Out

Virginia needed a big 4th quarter but they were able to pull out a victory over Wake Forest in the last game. In the first game against Richmond, Virginia was able to secure the 34-13 victory. In the last game against Wake Forest, Virginia struggled for most of the game, but in the 4th quarter they scored 14 points and that was enough for the 31-30 victory. Anthony Colandrea was under center and he completed 33 of his 43 passes for 357 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. The interceptions are an issue, and they are going to need him to be more consistent. 

The running game for Virginia wasn’t consistent enough, and that is something that will need to be figured out. The defense gave up 30 points, and that is going to need to be improved upon quickly. The defense can’t play like they did in the last game and expect to come away with a victory. 

Maryland vs Virginia Prediction

Virginia needed 14 points in the last game in the 4th quarter to even come away with a victory and they aren’t going to get that lucky again here. I trust Billy Edwards and he’s going to dominate the Virginia defense. Maryland is going to have no issue running up the score and this game is going to get out of control early. Virginia won’t have any answer. Maryland is going to pull away, and the Terrapins will get the job done. Back Maryland to win this game and cover the spread.
