The Georgia Bulldogs and the Kentucky Wildcats meet in week 3 college football action from Kroger Field on Saturday night. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Georgia vs. Kentucky prediction.
Georgia Recap
The Georgia Bulldogs come into this one 2-0 on the year after another rout last time out thanks to a 48-3 win over Tennessee Tech last time out. Following this game, the Bulldogs will pack up and get a bye week before heading to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama.

Arian Smith has a team-high 9 receptions for 129 yards to lead Georgia’s receiving group while Dillon Bell has 8 receptions and Colbie Young has a team-high 2 TDs. On defense, C.J. Allen and Jalon Walker each have a team-high 9 total tackles while Georgia’s defense as a whole has combined for 5 sacks as well on the year.
Why the Georgia Bulldogs will win

Kentucky Recap
The Kentucky Wildcats will be looking to bounce back after ending up on the wrong side of a 31-6 loss to South Carolina to fall to 1-1 on the year. After this game, Kentucky will welcome the Ohio Bobcats to town.
Wildcats Struggling To Produce In Step-Up Spots
Brock Vandagriff has thrown for 199 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions on 53.6% passing while Demie Sumo-Karngbaye has 129 rushing yards as well. Dane Key leads Kentucky’s receiving group with 5 receptions for 96 yards while Ja’Mori Maclin has 68 receiving yards and Barion Brown has a pair of TD grabs for Kentucky. On defense, Zion Childress and D’Eryk Jackson each have a team-high 9 total tackles with Childress logging 8 solo tackles. J.J. Weaver also has a pair of sacks as part of Kentucky’s 6 sacks this season while the Wildcat defense has 3 interceptions as well on the year.
Why the Kentucky Wildcats will win
- Kentucky has won 13 of its last 14 games in September.
- Kentucky has covered the spread in seven of its last eight September games against AP-ranked teams.
- Georgia has failed to cover the spread in each of its last four September games against non-AP-ranked teams.
Georgia vs. Kentucky Prediction
I’m on the under here. Kentucky has a history of struggling to put up points against the Bulldogs and I honestly think this game is going to be no different. On the other side, Georgia has that marquee matchup with Alabama up next, and even with a bye week, I can’t imagine that Georgia will be out to run it up on Kentucky. I think this one’s coming in under the number.
