Rinky Hijikata Preview
Rinky Hijikata has compiled four wins from nine matches in 2025. The Australian began the 2025 season competing in his home country, losing to Novak Djokovic in the first round of the Brisbane International.
Hijikata’s best result of the season came in the second tournament in Adelaide where he made the quarterfinal as a lucky loser, pulling off main draw wins against David Goffin and Brandon Nakashima.
Hijikata last competed at the Brisbane Challenger, losing to James McCabe in straight sets in the last 16. He has one win from his last four matches as he sets foot outside Australia.
He has played once in Dallas, losing in the second round to Dominik Koepfer 12 months ago.

Adrian Mannarino Preview
Adrian Mannarino is currently outside the top 100 after a tough start to 2025. Mannarino started the new season competing at the Noumea Challenger, losing in the first round to an opponent ranked outside the top 400.
Mannarino’s second tournament was in Auckland, where he earned a main draw spot as a lucky loser but didn’t make an impression.
The Frenchman’s winless start to 2025 continued in each of his last three tournaments. He lost to Karen Khachanov in straight sets at the Australian Open.
Mannarino then fell to countryman Richard Gasquet in a clash of the veterans in Montpellier this past week.

Rinky Hijikata vs Adrian Mannarino Head-To-Head
• Mannarino beat Hijikata in straight sets in their only career meeting at the 2023 Newport Open on grass.
• Mannarino won half of his 14 matches on indoor hard courts last season.
• Hijikata played only two matches indoors this past year (1-1).
Â
Rinky Hijikata vs Adrian Mannarino Prediction
Mannarino is a formidable proposition indoors with over 200 wins and has collected two of his five ATP titles under the roof. But he’s a player struggling with confidence for some time with just one win from his last seven matches at all levels. He starts as the slight underdog at evens.
Worryingly for him, he was beaten by Gasquet this past week quite resoundingly in Montpellier. The Frenchman has never failed to make the quarterfinals in each of his last three appearances in Dallas, but I’d be steering clear of backing him until his fortunes improve. Right now, Hijikata is the rightful favorite in this match.
