Lorenzo Musetti earned a retirement win over countryman Flavio Cobolli in the third round. Musetti led 6-3, 6-2, 2-0 when Cobolli pulled out with an arm injury. I’m siding with Musetti here, but back the over 3.5 sets in the match with each player cashing in at least a set. Munar won’t be a pushover in this one. He beat Musetti in their only hard-court match before this week back in January and has added some layers to his game to enjoy the best hard-court year of his career. I still think Musetti will edge this. He’s the higher-caliber performer with more variety and creativity to efficiently win points. This will most likely go to four sets.
