Iga Swiatek is coming off a straight-sets win over Sorana Cirstea in the second round. It was Swiatek’s first win in Seoul. The Pole started the match on the front foot, breaking Cirstea three times in succession and moved to take a 5-1 lead. But Cirstea saved three set points on her next service game and won one more game before Swiatek eventually sealed the set on her sixth set point.

In the second set, Swiatek certainly cleaned up the rust in her game and broke Cirstea twice.
