Elena Rybakina will face Jessica Pegula for the second time in as many weeks this season in the quarterfinal of the 2026 Miami Open on Wednesday, March 25. Here’s our Elena Rybakina vs Jessica Pegula prediction. This preview will also include an Elena Rybakina vs Jessica Pegula pick.

Elena Rybakina vs Jessica Pegula Preview

Elena Rybakina reached the Miami Open quarterfinals with a straight sets win over Australian World No. 68 Talia Gibson. The match took 16 games to decide. Rybakina easily beat Gibson 6-2, 6-2 in just 66 minutes to secure her spot in the last eight and remains in the hunt to win her second title.

In the victory, Rybakina hammered eight aces and did not account for any double faults. Rybakina landed 73% of first serves in play and won 84% of first serve points (27/32). She won 50% of second serve points (6/12) and only faced one break point in the match, which she erased. Before this, Rybakina had beaten countrywoman Yulia Putintseva and Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk, both in straight sets. Rybakina has reached the Miami Open final in two of the last three editions.

Jessica Pegula continued her fine run of form on hard courts as she reached her fifth straight quarterfinal this season. Pegula defeated Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian 6-4, 6-1 in 68 minutes to progress. Only one break was the difference between them in the opening set, and Pegula was the first to break Cristian and she did not relinquish that lead.

In the second set, Cristian’s level dipped as Pegula played some superb offensive tennis to break serve three times. Pegula finished the match with six aces on the board. She landed 62% of first serves in play and won 83% of first serve points (20/24). Pegula won 80% of second serve points (12/15) and did not face a break point. Before this, Pegula had beaten Francisca Jones and Leylah Fernandez without the loss of a set.

Elena Rybakina vs Jessica Pegula Head-To-Head

Rybakina and Pegula have played eight times. Rybakina holds a 5-3 lead over Pegula and won their last match at the 2026 Indian Wells in straight sets. Rybakina also won their first match of 2026 at the Australian Open.

Elena Rybakina vs Jessica Pegula Prediction

Although Pegula is 0-4 against Rybakina in their last four matches, she’s been very close to turning things around in this matchup, and she has stretched Rybakina to a couple of tiebreak sets in both Melbourne and Indian Wells. Outside the Top 2, Pegula has easily been the in-form player this season, and there is sneaky value in going with the games here.

Nur Said's Pick: Over 21.5 games in the match
