I’m taking a stab at Bencic at +100 ML. When she played Gauff at the Australian Open in January, she competed exceptionally for a set before wilting. She didn’t have a lot of mileage in her legs because of the long maternity break. With two months of the season gone, her endurance has only gotten better.

Secondly, Gauff’s second serve is a big weakness in her game right now and Bencic can easily exploit it. She hit 21 DFs in her opener, and although she cleaned it up in her second match against Sakkari, she still didn’t have the best numbers behind it. Bencic is one of the finest returners in the sport. She’s aggressive and plays with regulation, so she’ll frustrate Coco by taking the ball early and with assurance. And if it goes the distance, she’ll have the stamina to cross the finish line.
