Zhizhen Zhang was once China’s No. 1 ATP player, but after an injury-troubled 2025 season, he finds himself outside the top 400. Zhang played just 17 matches this year, winning five times and losing 12 matches.

Zhang’s best result was in early 2025 when he made the quarterfinals in Marseille. But he was sidelined for six months between March and September because of a serious shoulder injury. Upon his return to action, he won once in four matches.
