Casper Ruud is coming off a three-set win over James Duckworth. Ruud was initially scheduled to play Marcos Giron, but the American withdrew from the tournament.

The late change of opponent probably affected Ruud’s preparations, but got the job done in the end. The match took 30 games to decide and lasted two hours and seven minutes.

Michael Mmoh is coming off a three-set win over Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena. The American won two rounds of qualifying last weekend to reach the main draw.

The match against Carballes Baena took 26 games to decide and lasted nearly three hours. Mmoh prevailed 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. In the victory, Mmoh hit nine aces and did not account for any double faults.

Mmoh landed 64% of first serves in play and won 56% of first serve points (32/57). He won 47% of second serve points (15/32) and saved five of 10 break points.

On the return, he won 52% of points (44/85) and broke Carballes Baena seven times in the match. This was Mmoh’s fourth win in five matches this season at all levels.
