Coco Gauff Preview
Coco Gauff made it to the quarterfinal of the Australian Open for the second year in a row thanks to a comeback win over Belinda Bencic.
Gauff lost a set in the tournament for the first time, with the Swiss managing to get a late break in the 11th game and serving it out.
After taking a bathroom break, Gauff returned with renewed vigor and only lost three games in two sets, as she turned the match around.
Overall, she hit 42 winners and 45 unforced errors. She accumulated eight aces and nine double faults.
Gauff landed 62% of first serves and won 77% of first-serve points (48/62). Gauff won 42% of second-serve points (16/38) and saved four of six break points.
Gauff won 47% of return points and 92% of net points (11/12). She converted five of seven break points.
Paula Badosa Preview
It's back-to-back Grand Slam quarterfinals for Paula Badosa. She saw off Serbia's Olga Danilovic in straight sets in the last 16.
She trailed 2-5 in the second set, but prevailed 6-1, 7-6.

Coco Gauff vs Paula Badosa Head-To-Head
• Gauff and Badosa have met six times on the WTA Tour.
• The head-to-head is tied at 3-3.
• It is also even on hard courts at 2-2, with Gauff winning their last showdown in Beijing last season.
• Badosa last beat Gauff at the 2023 Madrid Open in straight sets.
Coco Gauff vs Paula Badosa Prediction
I'm tipping three sets here. Badosa is heavily undervalued. Gauff is rightfully the favorite and should wear down the Spaniard over the course of three long sets.
Badosa was good enough to take a set off her in Beijing at the end of last season and also stretched the American to three in Rome a few months earlier. It's been a while since Badosa was this productive at a Grand Slam tournament, and she's now followed up her US Open quarterfinal appearance last September with another last eight showing at her subsequent major. So, this is far from a done deal for Gauff who will need to grind down Badosa in three.
Nur’s Pick Three sets in the match
