Series Recap
The Minnesota Wild took the series lead over the Golden Knights thanks to a second straight 5-2 win over Vegas last time out on Thursday to build a 2-1 series lead. Minnesota pounced early in the game, with Kirill Kaprizov giving Minnesota the lead just 3:13 into the game before Marco Rossi doubled Minnesota’s advantage just 3:38 later. Alex Pietrangelo got the Golden Knights on the board just after the midway point of the opening frame and that 2-1 score would hold until the Wild pushed the lead to 3-1 with less than nine minutes to go in the second period. Kaprizov netted his second power play goal of the game with two seconds to go in the period to make it a 4-1 lead going into the 3rd. Reilly Smith scored a short-handed goal to bring the score to 4-2, but that’s as close as the Wild would get as Marcus Foligno would ice the game with an empty net short-handed goal with 1:33 to play for the final 5-2 score line.

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Minnesota Wild Prediction
I’m on the Golden Knights here. I get why the Wild are worth the look here. In a similar spot to what they were in game three and the Golden Knights have had no answer for Minnesota to this point. However, the Golden Knights are still a quality team and I think there’s some regression coming for Minnesota who has been finding a ton of luck on special teams and in even strength positions and the Golden Knights took a lot of bad penalties in game three. I think the Golden Knights smarten up knowing that they can ill afford ging down 3-1 in the series and the only way to do that is keep their heads and stay out of the box. I think Vegas does that and evens up the series at two wins apiece. Give me the Golden Knights here.
