In this article we will formulate a Panthers vs Kraken prediction for this NHL game on Sunday, March 15th at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Florida Panthers Betting Preview

The Florida Panthers are 33-29-3 this year after they defeated the Blue Jackets in overtime by a score of 2-1 in their last game. Florida tied the game at one early in the third period and they scored 2:20 into overtime for the win. The Panthers were out shot by a total of 31-21, won 41.5% of the face-offs, and went 2-2 on the power play in the game. Florida got goals from Bennett and Reinhart, while Bobrovsky stopped 30 out of 31 shots, which was a .968 save percentage.

Prior to that game, Florida defeated the Red Wings in back to back games by scores of 4-3 and 3-1. The Panthers have won three games in a row and they are currently seventh in the Atlantic standings with 69 points. The Panthers have scored 2.97 goals per game and they have allowed 3.28 goals against per game, while also going 20.2% on the power play and 82.4% on the penalty kill this season. Sam Reinhart has led Florida with 29 goals and 32 assists, while Brad Marchand has added 27 goals and 27 assists. The projected starting goalie for Florida is Sergei Bobrovsky, who is 24-19-1 with a 3.03 goals against average and an .878 save percentage this year.

Seattle Kraken Betting Preview

The Seattle Kraken are playing a late game on Saturday night against the Canucks, which is not included in this article. Seattle is 29-26-9 this season after they lost to the Avalanche by a score of 5-1 in their last game. Seattle cut the deficit to 3-1 in the second period, but couldn’t find anymore offense in the lopsided loss. The Kraken out shot Colorado by a total of 29-26, won 56.4% of the face-offs, and went 0-2 on the power play in the game. Seattle got their lone goal from Evans, while Daccord stopped 12 out of 15 shots and Grubauer stopped nine out of 11.

Prior to that game, Seattle lost to the Predators by a score of 4-2 and the Senators by a score of 7-4. The Kraken have lost four games in a row and they are currently sixth in the Pacific standings with 67 points. Seattle has scored 2.80 goals per game and they have allowed 2.98 goals against per game, while also going 21.1% on the power play and 72.7% on the penalty kill this season. Jordan Eberle has led Seattle with 22 goals and 22 assists, while Matty Beniers has added 17 goals and 23 assists. The projected starting goalie for Seattle is Philipp Grubauer, who is 11-8-3 with a 2.54 goals against average and a .912 save percentage this year.

Panthers vs Kraken Prediction

Seattle comes into their game on Saturday night riding a four game losing streak and they are sliding in the standings, so they need to turn things around. The Kraken are 16-13-5 at home this year, while the Panthers are 15-15-0 on the road. Florida has won three games in row and they have allowed just five goals during that span. Florida is playing the better hockey and Seattle is on a back to back, but I like the Kraken in this spot, as the Panthers are a very average team in my opinion. Take Seattle to win here.
