The Brooklyn Nets pay a visit to the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Tuesday night.
Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
The Brooklyn Nets have struggled to find their footing so far this season as they are now riding a three-game losing streak after getting routed by the Pacers in a 136-109 home defeat on Sunday. Nolan Traore led the team in scoring with 17 points and five assists off the bench, Josh Minott added 15 points while Moritz Wagner chipped in with 13 points, but the starting lineup really let them down in this one. Julius Randle and Michael Porter Jr both struggled to finish with just 10 points apiece while Egor Demin scored just three points on one of six shooting. As a team, the Nets shot just 41 percent from the field while allowing the Pacers to shoot over 58 percent from the field so a blowout defeat always seemed inevitable after they leaked 41 points in the second quarter.
Boston Celtics Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are starting to heat up now as they will be eager to build on their current two-game win streak after trampling the Bulls in a 134-99 home win last night. Payton Pritchard drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 28 points off the bench, Jayson Tatum added 23 points with seven rebounds and six assists while Paul George chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Celtics shot 49 percent from the field and an efficient 21 of 44 from the 3-point line as they stormed out to an early double-digit lead, before they dominated the third quarter by 39-21 to put the game out of reach.
Brooklyn v Boston Free Prediction
The Nets have ruled out Tyler Bilodeau again with Mikel Brown Jr listed as questionable, while the Celtics have ruled out Devin Carter once again. The Nets have dropped their first three games and they didn’t look good at all in their massive loss to the Pacers on Sunday, so it’s tough to feel confident about their chances at the TD Garden in this one. Yes, the Celtics are playing their second game of a back to back set, but Tatum was the only starter to play more than 25 minutes and the Celtics didn’t have to travel to this game. I expect more of the same for the Celtics as they cruise to another easy win behind big games from Pritchard and Tatum.
