The Line: Betting Odds: Atlanta +4.5 — Over/Under: +38.5
In this article we will formulate a Titans vs Falcons prediction for this NFL game on Friday, August 15th at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week two matchup in the preseason.
Tennessee Titans Betting Preview
The Tennessee Titans are 0-1 in the preseason after they lost to Tampa Bay by a score of 29-7 last week. Tennessee cut the deficit to 10-7 in the middle of the second quarter, but they went into halftime down 13-7 and failed to score in the second half in the ugly loss. The Titans were out gained by a total of 348-201, went 5-13 on third down conversions, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 3-1. Cam Ward went 5-8 with 67 yards, Brandon Allen went 6-12 with 62 yards and one interception, while Tim Boyle went 4-13 with 24 yards and two interceptions in the loss. Kalel Mullings rushed for 33 yards, while Calvin Ridley caught three passes for 50 yards. The Tennessee defense was led by Williams Sr., Horne, and Gray, who all had seven tackles, while Ward picked up a sack.
Tennessee went 3-0 in the 2024 preseason with wins over San Francisco, Seattle, and New Orleans by scores of 17-13, 16-15, and 30-27. Tennessee has said that Ward will play in every preseason game, so I would think he will get a couple of possessions here. Once Ward is done, we will see Allen and Semien under center.
Atlanta Falcons Betting Preview
The Atlanta Falcons are 0-1 in the preseason after they lost to Detroit by a score of 17-10, but the game was called early in the fourth quarter due to a severe injury by a Detroit player. Atlanta led 3-0 after the first quarter and 10-7 at halftime, but they allowed 10 points in the third before the game was called, but they were starting to drive the ball before the injury. Atlanta was out gained by a total of 246-207, went 1-7 on third down conversions, and won the turnover battle by a total of 2-0 in the game. Easton Stick went 15-18 for 149 yards and one touchdown, while Emory Jones went 4-5 for 45 yards in the loss. Nathan Carter rushed for 12 yards, while Dylan Drummond caught eight passes for 63 yards. The Falcons defense was led by Woods, who had seven total tackles, while Kareem, Dorlus, and Ebiketie all had one sack.
Atlanta went 0-3 in the preseason last year with losses against Miami, Baltimore, and Jacksonville by scores of 20-13, 13-12, and 31-0. The Falcons are not expected to play Penix in this game and I would be surprised if Cousins played at all, so we should see plenty of Stick and Jones once again.

Titans vs Falcons Prediction
Both of these teams lost last week and had trouble putting up points, so both sides will be looking for a better effort here. Tennessee will play Cam Ward, who will be fine, but Allen and Semien are not great backup options in my opinion. On the other side, we know Stick can play well in the preseason, but I am not sold on Jones quite yet. I really don’t like either quarterback room in this game and I think turnovers could be an issue, so I will take the points with Atlanta at home.
