Tennessee Titans Betting Preview
Tennessee has had a pretty rough year so far—to put it mildly. The Titans opened the season on a four-game skid, falling to the Denver Broncos, the Los Angeles Rams, the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans in succession. Win number one came on October 5 by one point over the Arizona Cardinals, but then Tennessee fell to the Las Vegas Raiders in the next game. In that one the Titans offense had just 225 yards, 15 first downs, 3-of-13 on third-down tries and three takeaways. otherwise the defense wasn’t too bad on the other side.
In their latest outing last weekend versus the New England Patriots, the Titans were back in the loss column. Tennessee gave up 14 points in both the second and third quarters during a 31-13 loss at home. QB Cameron Ward was 25-of-34 for 255 yards, one TD and one pick, while leading rusher Tyjae Spears had just 22 yards on five totes. Chimere Dike was the team’s leading receiver with four catches for 70 yards and a TD in the losing effort.
Indianapolis Colts Betting Preview
Over on the Colts’ side, they opened up the season on a pretty good run. Indianapolis took out the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans during a 3-0 stretch, then feel to the Rams in game four. After a win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Indy took out the Arizona Cardinals in the next game. The Colts managed 355 yards on offense in that one with 25 first downs and 4-of-8 on third-down conversion attempts.
Matched up against The Los Angeles Chargers last weekend, the Colts jumped out to a nice 23-3 advantage by halftime. Indianapolis scored 15 more points from there and held on for the road win 38-24 in the end. Titans vs Colts Prediction
I’m just going to stay with the Colts. Indianapolis played a pretty nice game versus the Chargers on the road last weekend, posting 401 total yards with 6.9 yards per play, 24 first downs and zero turnovers. The defense gave up 445 yards on the other side (391 passing) along with 6.0 yards per play and 25 first downs but did have a couple of interceptions along the way to the victory. The Colts offense is cooking during this three-game win streak with 31 or more points in each of those outings.
As for the Titans, they couldn’t do much on offense versus the Patriots. Tennessee mustered 255 yards, 16 first downs and 3-of-10 on third-down tries alongside a couple of turnovers. The defense was good on third downs (5-of-12) but it hardly mattered otherwise. The Titans have just 23 combined points in their last pair and 13 or fewer points scored in three of the last four. If the Colts play to their capabilities, there’s not much chance the Titans will be able to keep pace in this road matchup.
