San Francisco 49ers Betting Preview
The Niners managed a spotty 6-4 run in their first 10 games this year. The losses in that time were versus the Jaguars, Buccaneers, Texans and Rams. San Francisco would then hit a six-game win streak over the Cardinals, Panthers, Browns, Titans, Colts and Bears before a loss to Seattle that finished off the regular season. San Francisco managed a 12-5 run in those 17 games.
Last weekend in the Wild Card Round game versus the Eagles, San Francisco was down by six points 16-10 heading into the fourth quarter. Despite giving up points in every frame the Niners rode a 13-3 quarter to a 23-19 comeback win. QB Brock Purdy finished with 262 yards, two scores and two picks on 18-of-31 passing. Christian McCaffrey added 15 carries for 48 yards (with two receiving scores) and Demarcus Robinson had 111 yards and a score on six catches.
Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
Over on the Seattle side, they managed a nice 7-3 run over their first 10 games this year. The Seahawks lost to only the 49ers, Buccaneers and Rams during that time. Seattle closed out the regular season on a nice run, dispatching the Titans, Vikings, Falcons, Colts, Rams, Panthers and 49ers. Over the 17 games of the regular season that would give Seattle a nice 14-3 record overall.
In their regular-season finale versus the 49ers, the Seahawks posted a 10-3 advantage in the first half. That lead would hold for the rest of the game, as Seattle emerged with a 13-3 victory in the end. QB Sam Darnold finished with 198 yards on 20-of-26 passing and Kenneth Walker had 16 carries for 97 yards as the top rusher. Jaxson Smith-Njigba put up 84 yards on six catches as the team’s lead receiver.

49ers vs Seahawks Prediction
I’ll stay with the Seahawks. We should be in for another close, competitive game here regardless, though. Seattle kept San Francisco’s offense in check during their Week 18 road win, holding the Niners to just 173 yards (53 rushing), nine first downs and 2-of-9 on third-down tries. The Seahawks managed 361 yards (181 passing) on the other side with 23 first downs and 6-of-13 on third-down attempts. Seattle has held opponents below 17 points in five of the last six games, so points will be at a premium for San Francisco here.
Speaking of San Francisco, they notched a nice road win over Philly last weekend with 361 total yards, 286 pass yards, 6.2 yards per play, 20 first downs and 6-of-11 on third-down tries. The 49ers gave up just 167 passing yards on the other side and 5-of-16 on third-down conversion attempts.
San Francisco had scored 37 or more points in three straight games heading into their Week 18 loss to Seattle. These teams know each other well so we may see a little creative trickery on either side. It’s sure to be a good one to watch.
