New York Jets Betting Preview
The Jets started out the season on a miserable losing streak, dropping their first seven outings. Those defeats came courtesy of the Steelers, Bills, Bucs, Dolphins, Cowboys, Broncos and Panthers in succession before a in over the Bengals. Coming out of the bye, New York logged a 2-2 run in the next four games. The wins were over the Browns and Falcons, sandwiched around losses to the Patriots and Ravens. That would give the Jets a 3-9 overall run across their first 12 games of the year.
In their matchup last weekend with the rival Dolphins, the Jets were down 24-10 by halftime. New York could only muster a field goal from there in a 34-10 loss. QB Brady Cook finished 14-of-30 for 163 yards and two picks, while Breece Hall had 14 carries for 43 yards. Mason Taylor was the top receiver with five catches for 51 yards.
Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Preview
Over on the Jaguars’ side, they won four of their first five games. Jacksonville took out the Panthers, Texans, 49ers and Chiefs around a loss to the Bengals otherwise, then lost consecutive games versus the Seahawks and Rams. After the bye week, the Jaguars hit another 4-1 run with a lone loss to the Texans amid wins over the Raiders, Chargers, Cardinals and Titans. Through 12 games the Jaguars managed an 8-4 overall run.
Matched up against the Colts last weekend, the Jaguars jumped out to a 28-10 edge by the end of the second quarter. Jacksonville cruised from there in a 36-19 win. QB Trevor Lawrence had a 17-of-30 line for 244 yards and two picks. Travis Etienne added 20 carries for 74 yards and two scores while Brian Thomas led the receivers with 87 yards on three catches in the victory effort for the Jags.

Jets vs Jaguars Prediction
I’ll stick with Jacksonville. The Jaguars were buoyed on defense last weekend with the Daniel Jones injury, but still get credit for a nice effort. Jacksonville gave up 285 yards, 4.5 yards per play, 20 first downs and 6-of-11 on third-down tries in that one, along with three takeaways for good measure. The offense gained 350 yards on the other side with 7-of-15 on third downs and 5.6 yards per play. Jacksonville has posted at least 25 points in six straight games, going 5-1 in that stretch.
As for the Jets, they limped to another poor offensive performance against the rival Dolphins last weekend. New York was only good for 207 yards, 65 rush yards, 3.6 yards per play, 12 first downs, 1-of-12 on third downs and three picks in a pretty miserable effort—even for them. New York has been below 15 points in three of the last four games, losing all three of those outings.
