Indianapolis scored 22.2 points per game, which was ranked 17th in the NFL, while they allowed 25.1 points against per game, which was ranked 24th. 

Last preseason, Indianapolis went 2-1, which was actually last in the AFC South. The Colts lost their first game in the 2024 preseason against Denver by a score of 34-30, but they did beat Arizona by a score of 21-13 and Cincinnati by a score of 27-14 after that. Indianapolis will play some starters in this game, but I wouldn’t count on them playing very long. The Colts are expected to give Jones and Richardson some time under center, while Riley Leonard and Jason Bean will finish the game. 

Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

The Baltimore Ravens were 12-5 last year and they finished first in the AFC North standings, two games ahead of the Steelers. Baltimore dropped their first two games of the season, but they won 12 of the last 15, which gave them one of the top records in the AFC. The Ravens picked up wins against the Cowboys, Bills, Bengals (2), Commanders, Buccaneers, Broncos, Chargers, Giants, Steelers, Browns, and Texans, while they lost to the Chiefs, Raiders, Browns, Steelers, and Eagles in the regular season. Baltimore did go to the playoffs, where they beat Pittsburgh by a score of 28-14, but lost to Buffalo by a score of 27-25. The Ravens scored 30.5 points per game in 2024, which was ranked 3rd in the NFL, while they allowed 21.2 points against per game, which was ranked 9th. 

Baltimore went 1-2 in the 2024 preseason, which was first in the AFC North, as they were the only team in the division to win a game. The Ravens lost to the Eagles in their first preseason game by a score of 16-13, but they did beat the Falcons by a score of 13-12, before losing to the Packers by a score of 30-7 in the finale. Baltimore hasn’t said if Lamar is going to get any reps in this game, but even if he does, it shouldn’t be more than a handful of plays. After that, Baltimore will turn to Cooper Rush and Devin Leary.

Colts vs Ravens Prediction 

Indianapolis comes into this contest as a pretty big favorite for the preseason, as they announced their starting quarterback(s) will play. Baltimore used to be elite in the preseason, but they went just 1-2 last year and the offense was very low scoring. Both teams have capable backup quarterbacks, but I don’t have a ton of faith in Riley Leonard or Jason Bean. Once Richardson and Jones are done, I think Baltimore has the advantage under center, so I am going to take the points with Baltimore.
