Buffalo Bills Betting Preview

Buffalo’s first preseason matchup this year came on August 9 versus the New York Giants. The Bills were down 16-10 by the end of the first half and couldn’t climb back out of the hole in an eventual loss 34-25. Mitch Trubisky had a touchdown pass and 138 yards on 9-of-13 passing, and Mike White had a pair of passing scores on 8-of-13 for 112 yards. Ty Johnson carried three times for 26 yards and Tyrell Shavers added two catches for 70 yards. Frank Gore Jr. had 21 rush yards alongside five catches for 50 yards as well.

The Bills took on the Chicago Bears this past Sunday evening. In that matchup, Buffalo gave up points in every quarter—including 21 in the second alone—on the way to a 38-0 blowout defeat. The Bills’ Mitch Trubisky finished with 55 yards on 7-of-13 passing, and Frank Gore Jr. had 51 yards on eight carries. Gore Jr. also led the receivers with four grabs for 30 yards.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Preview

Over on the Buccaneers’ side, they opened up their 2025 run with a preseason game versus the Tennessee Titans. Tampa Bay held a modest 13-7 edge going into the fourth quarter, then scored 16 unanswered points from there on the way to a 29-7 victory. Kyle Trask threw for 129 yards on 12-of-16 passing, and Owen Wright had 18 carries for 87 yards and a score. Sean Tucker also had a rush score among his 13 carries for 50 yards. Tops in receiving was Ryan Miller with six grabs for 66 yards.

In game two versus the Pittsburgh Steelers last Saturday, the Buccaneers were able to eke out a road victory. Tampa Bay saw things all knotted up 14-14 going into the final quarter and ended up winning 17-14 by game’s end. Teddy Bridgewater went 6-of-11 for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and Connor Bazelak had 106 yards on 14-of-18 passing. Josh Williams led a modest rush with five carries for 21 yards. Topping the receivers was Sterling Shepard with three catches for 47 yards total.

Bills vs Buccaneers Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Buccaneers in this one, but you could probably call it either way. Tampa Bay didn’t look spectacular overall in their tight road win over the Steelers last weekend, but they did a few things quite well. The Bucs ended up with 240 total yards (199 passing), 3.8 yards per play and 13 first downs alongside a couple of lost fumbles. The 6-of-18 on third-down tries wasn’t the greatest either. On defense Tampa Bay gave up 316 yards (186 passing) and 5.4 yards per play, but did come up with three interceptions and held the Steelers to just 2-of-12 on their third-down conversions. I’d like to see a little more emphasis on the rush after just 41 yards on the ground versus Pittsburgh, but if Tampa Bay can keep the chains moving in this final preseason game I think they’ll be able to power out the home cover.
