The Line: Betting Odds: Dallas Mavericks +7.5 — Over/Under:
The Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks meet Saturday in summer league NBA action at the Pavilion. Here’s a Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction. This article will include a Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks Pick.
Utah Jazz Betting Preview
The Utah Jazz will play their fourth summer league game when they take the court. The Utah Jazz are averaging 88.3 points on 38.5 percent shooting and allowing 92.7 points on 43.6 percent shooting. Keyonte George is averaging 30.5 points and 3 rebounds, while Brice Sensabaugh is averaging 16.7 points and 3 rebounds. Taylor Hendricks is the third double-digit scorer and Kenny Lofton Jr. is grabbing 3 rebounds. The Utah Jazz are shooting 27.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.9 percent from the free throw line. The Utah Jazz are allowing 28.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43.3 rebounds per game.
Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
The Dallas Mavericks will be led by long time NBA vet and assistant coach Jared Dudley. The Mavericks summer league roster is highlighted by Olivier-Maxence Prosper, A.J. Lawson and Brandon Williams. Prosper was a first round pick last year and played 40 games for the Mavs. Lawson has played 57 games for the Mavericks and Timberwolves. Williams played in 17 games last season for the Mavericks and started 16 games for the Trail Blazers in the 2021-22 season. Melvin Ajinca was this year’s second round pick out of France. Another player to watch on the Mavericks summer league is Emanuel Miller, who was an all Big-12 selection and often the best player for TCU each of the last 3 seasons.
Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction
The Utah Jazz should be favored because they have actually played together and looked good at times. The Dallas Mavericks were just put together a couple of weeks ago and haven’t seen any game action, which can hurt the chemistry. However, the Jazz shot poorly in three summer league games and that makes this much chalk risky. The Jazz should win because they know how to play together, but I’m not lying 7.5 points in a meaningless summer league game. The Dallas Mavericks have four players on their roster who could see NBA minutes this season if things go well. Give me the Mavs and the boatload of free points.
