Houston Rockets Betting Preview
The Houston Rockets are starting to build some momentum with three wins in their past four games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Pelicans in a 119-110 win on Sunday. Jabari Smith Jr drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 32 points on 11 of 21 shooting, Alperen Sengun added 21 points with eight rebounds and five steals while Amen Thompson chipped in with 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in a real battle after squandering an early 11-point lead, but they regrouped and went on another run in the fourth quarter to lead by as many as 19 points before holding off a late rally from the Pelicans.
San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after routing the Jazz in a 123-110 win last night. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 33 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, Stephon Castle added 18 points with eight assists while De’Aaron Fox chipped in with 14 points and eight assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 56 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 34 points in the first quarter to take a narrow lead into halftime, before they exploded for 35 points in the third quarter to put the game to bed early with a 24-point lead.
Houston v San Antonio Free Prediction
The Rockets have ruled out Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams with Tari Eason listed as questionable, while the Spurs will again be missing Devin Vassell. The Rockets are starting to get back into form with a few nice wins and I get why they are slight favorites at home in this spot, but the Spurs have been the healthier team in better form, but they are playing their second game of a back to back set, which makes things a little tricky. This should be a close one, but I have been a little more impressed with the Spurs’ play lately and I think they can keep it going with a minor upset on the road in this spot.
