As a team, the Hornets shot 56 percent from the field and a sizzling 22 of 46 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest early with a dominant 36-12 second quarter, before they poured in another 40 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 31 points at one stage.

The Trail Blazers are coming into this contest with plenty of momentum, but it’s the Hornets who open as heavy favorites as they’ve been one of the hottest teams in the league. The Trail Blazers hold the same overall record as the Hornets, but the Trail Blazers are still dealing with some key injuries and they were far from convincing in their win over the slumping Bulls on Thursday.
