Phoenix Suns Betting Preview
The Phoenix Suns have been in fine form as they’ve won four of their last five games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after beating the Pelicans in a 123-114 road win on Saturday. Devin Booker led the team with 20 points and four assists, Dillon Brooks added 18 points while Jordan Goodwin chipped in with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists off the bench. As a team, the Suns shot 46 percent from the field and 20 of 44 from the 3-point line as they held the Pelicans in check early on to take a 10-point lead into halftime, but this was by no means an easy victory as the Suns really had to battle and even throw hands with the Pelicans which led to two players getting ejected.
Washington Wizards Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have come to life with four wins in their past seven games and they will be gunning for a season-high third straight victory after sneaking past the Grizzlies in a 116-112 win last night. Alex Sarr led the team with 20 points, nine rebounds and a career-high six blocks, CJ McCollum added 16 points with five assists while Bilal Coulibaly and Tre Johnson each scored 14 points. As a team, the Wizards shot just 42 percent from the field and eight of 33 from the 3-point line as they came out with a great level of urgency and played hard to stay within striking distance until the fourth quarter where they went on a crucial 17-4 run to pull away and escape with the narrow win despite a sloppy game where the Wizards finished with 19 turnovers.
Phoenix v Washington Free Prediction
The Suns are still missing Grayson Allen and Jalen Green with Ryan Dunn listed as questionable, while the Wizards have ruled out Kyshawn George, Corey Kispert and Cam Whitmore. The Suns are starting to heat up again and open as clear favorites on the road, but they are running into a Wizards team who have really looked like a different team during their last two wins. I think the Wizards deserve plenty of credit for their recent play, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort on the second game of a back to back set. The Suns have been building nicely and I think they can keep it going against this Wizards team who could be missing George for this matchup.
