The Indiana Pacers will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting trampled by the Mavericks in a 121-105 home defeat on Friday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 23 points on eight of 13 shooting, Tyrese Haliburton added 18 points with seven assists on eight of 17 shooting while Andrew Nembhard chipped in with 16 points and five assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 44 percent from the field and just seven of 32 from the 3-point line, but this game was over in the blink of an eye as the Pacers failed to match the intensity of the Mavericks from the tipoff and quickly found themselves trailing by 77-43 going into halftime. Kelly Oubre Jr had a night to forget as he shot just one of 10 from the field for his three points.
Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have now dropped their first two games of the season after coming up just short to the Cavaliers in a 125-121 road defeat last night. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 28 points, nine rebounds and four steals on 10 of 18 shooting, Julius Randle added 23 points with six rebounds and five assists while Egor Demin chipped in with 22 points and six assists. As a team, the Nets shot just 40 percent from the field and 20 of 49 from the 3-point line as they rallied with 41 points in the fourth quarter to cut an early 22-point deficit to just two points, before the Cavaliers escaped on free throws with just 5.2 seconds left on the clock.

The Pacers are still missing TJ McConnell and Ben Sheppard but they should have Aaron Nesmith available, while the Nets are missing Tyler Bilodeau. The Pacers will be disappointed with their effort on Friday as they should’ve at least been more competitive against the banged up Mavericks in their last outing. The Nets have plenty of positives to take from last night’s narrow defeat to the Cavaliers, but they are playing on zero days’ rest now, so I prefer a play on the Pacers to take advantage and bounce back here.
