Orlando Magic Betting Preview
The Orlando Magic have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Grizzlies in a 118-111 win on Thursday. Paolo Banchero led the way with 26 points, 13 rebounds and four assists on nine of 16 shooting, Anthony Black added 21 points with six rebounds and seven assists while Franz Wagner chipped in with 18 points, nine rebounds and two assists. As a team, the Magic shot 43 percent from the field and 15 of 40 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and leaked 39 points in the first quarter to trail by 20 points early, but they took over the contest in the third quarter where they restricted the Grizzlies to just 12 points to take the lead and escape with the impressive comeback victory.
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a slump as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be out for revenge after falling short to the Grizzlies on Thursday. Jaren Jackson Jr led the team with 30 points on 12 of 22 shooting, Santi Aldama added 18 points on six of 11 shooting off the bench while Cedric Coward chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 46 percent from the field and 17 of 36 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 39 points in the first quarter to take an early 20-point lead, but they just couldn’t recover after going ice-cold in the third quarter. Cam Spencer had a rough game of just seven points on two of seven shooting while Jaylen Wells shot just one of seven for his two points.
Orlando v Memphis Free Prediction
The Magic are still missing Jalen Suggs and they have Jett Howard listed as questionable, while the Grizzlies have ruled out Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr and Zach Edey with Santi Aldama listed as questionable. The Magic are coming in with the same squad and they will be confident after overcoming a 20-point deficit to win on Thursday, but it’s always hard to beat the same team twice in a row. The Grizzlies will be kicking themselves after their loss on Thursday, but they expect to have Ja Morant available for this one which should make things more interesting. You can make an argument for either side here, but in what should be a close contest, I will lean towards the Grizzlies and the points in this spot.
