The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been on fire as they’ve won 14 of their last 16 games overall and they will be looking for a 10th straight victory after sneaking past the Magic in a 113-108 road win last night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 40 points, five rebounds and four steals on 14 of 27 shooting, Chet Holmgren added 20 points with 12 rebounds while Ajay Mitchell chipped in with 16 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Thunder shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble after squandering an early 18-point lead, but they reclaimed the lead with 34 points in the third quarter to secure the gritty road win at the end.
Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 14 of their last 16 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game skid after getting trampled by the Trail Blazers in a 114-95 loss on Monday. Chaney Johnson led the team with 17 points and nine rebounds off the bench, Ben Saraf added 15 points while Nic Claxton tallied 12 points with 11 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Nets shot just 38 percent from the field and nine of 34 from the 3-point line as they struggled for offense from the very start and scored just 41 points in the first half to trail by 24 points at halftime which was always too much to overcome on a poor shooting night with their top scorer sitting out. Nolan Traore scored just four points on one of eight shooting while Drake Powell finished with just two points on one of six shooting.
Oklahoma City v Brooklyn Free Prediction
The Thunder are still missing Branden Carlson and Jalen Williams, while the Nets have ruled out Egor Demin and Day’Ron Sharpe with Michael Porter Jr and Ben Saraf both listed as questionable. The Thunder were always going to be very heavy favorites in this matchup despite being the road team, but given the respective form of both teams you have to agree with it. These teams last met on Feb 20 and it was the Thunder who won by 105-86 and I expect a similar outcome in this one with the Thunder just earning the cover by a few points.
