I like this matchup for Karl Anthony Towns to have another big game on the glass. He’s not getting much help from this Knicks supporting cast with the second rebound leader being Josh Hart. He also has a favorable matchup against the Sixers who are weak in the paint without Embid. The Sixers are giving up 53.9 rebounds per game to opposing teams which is way above the league average. In what should be a close game I expect Karl Anthony Towns to play a lot of minutes which will result in him securing plenty of boards throughout the game. 

Jalen Brunson Over 6.5 Assist

Jalen Brunson has been averaging 6.6 assists per game in the 2024-25 NBA season, which highlights his strong playmaking ability. His assists per game reflect his role as a key facilitator for the New York Knicks, contributing significantly to the team’s offensive flow. It seems like Jalen Brunson has taken more of a facilitator role this season compared to last season where he was a pure scorer. Jalen Brunson is coming off two massive assist games getting nine assists against the Bucks and a 10-assist game against the Pacers which is his season high. He has another good opportunity for a lot of assists against this Sixers team that’s allowing 26.6 assists to opposing teams this season.

Paul George Over 17.5 Points

Paul George has only played four games with the Philadelphia 76ers, and is averaging 14.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. He’s been a reliable scoring option for the 76ers, shooting 41.7% from the field and 39.4% from three-point range. His scoring has slightly dipped compared to his previous seasons, but his efficiency remains key in the Sixers’ offensive system. 

We have yet to see Paul George get over his point total this season and Vegas has adjusted his line from 20.5 points two games ago to 17.5 on Tuesday. I think this is a good spot to buy low on Paul Geroge. Paul George is still capable of being a high-level scorer in this league and this Sixers team needs him to step up badly as Kelly Oubre is the Sixer’s leading scorer. This game will be a primetime game playing on TNT. In these matchups I like the stars to step up and for the Sixers that’s Paul George until Joel Embid returns to the lineup.
