Minnesota Timberwolves vs Portland Trail Blazers Player Prop Picks 11/12/24

Anthony Edwards has been by far this T-Wolves team’s best three point shooter and he’s gotten 4+ threes in every game besides one this season. This Trail Blazers team has struggled to stop the deep ball giving up 14.4 three-pointers a game which is the 6th highest in the league. These are the type of matchups Anthony Edwards has been dominating all season and I don’t see that stopping on Tuesday.

Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 Rebounds

As of the 2024-25 NBA season, Rudy Gobert has been performing solidly as a rebounder for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is averaging 10.7 rebounds per game, which remains in line with his reputation as one of the league’s top rebounders. His total rebounds so far this season amount to 79 rebounds. Gobert continues to dominate in defensive rebounding, contributing 8.2 defensive boards per game, and also contributes on the offensive glass with 2.5 offensive rebounds per game. His efforts in rebounding are key to the Timberwolves’ defense and overall performance on the court.

Rudy Gobert is coming off two monstrous games on the glass. In his last game, he secured 13 rebounds and the game before that he had 15 rebounds against this Portland team. The Trail Blazers have been a poor rebounding team this season giving up 56.1 rebounds per game to opposing teams which is the 4th most. We already saw Gobert dominate on the glass against this Portland team and I see it happening again on Tuesday.

Anfernee Simons Under 5.5 Assists 

Anfernee Simons has been averaging 4.6 assists per game in the 2024-25 season for the Portland Trail Blazers. While scoring is still his primary role, his assists per game reflect his improved playmaking responsibilities. He has been effective at setting up his teammates and helping with ball distribution. Simons started the season getting 6+ assists in five of his first six games but has come down to earth since then. In his last two games, we’ve seen him only get two assists against this Timberwolves team and in his last game he only got one assist against the Grizzles.

I expect him to have a similar game to when these teams first played a couple nights ago. This Timberwolves team doesn’t make it easy for guards to facilitate the ball. They’re allowing 23.9 assists per game to opposing teams which is the sixth fewest in the league.
