The Minnesota Timberwolves have been building nicely as they’ve won four of their first seven games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Hornets in a 114-93 home win on Monday. Naz Reid led the team with 25 points and nine rebounds off the bench, Anthony Edwards added 21 points on six of 11 shooting while Donte DiVincenzo chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 49 percent from the field and 18 of 38 from the 3-point line as they poured in 33 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, before they ran away with it in the second half where they led by as many as 30 points. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been doing it tough as they’ve lost five of their first eight games and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting trampled by the Mavericks in a 119-99 road defeat last night. As a team, the Bulls shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 42 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep pace with the Mavericks from the start, falling behind by 11 points going into halftime and things only got worse in the third quarter where they trailed by as many as 30 points at one stage. 

The Timberwolves are coming into this one with a full squad, while the Bulls are still missing Lonzo Ball and they are keeping an eye on Zach LaVine. The Timberwolves have yet to fully hit their stride this season, but they are starting to heat up and they looked great in their big win over the Hornets on Monday. Meanwhile, the Bulls have gone cold lately and they now have to back up and play on zero days’ rest after getting blown out last night. I expected the line to be a little bigger for this one, so with that being said, I am comfortable taking the Timberwolves to get the win and cover on the road at this modest line.
